A Letter from Mrs. Mason:
Hello Westpark Wildcat Families and welcome to the 2023-24 school year!!!! Did you all have a wonderful and relaxing summer break? Because we did! Your Westpark Staff is relaxed, recharged and ready to begin with a sense of hope, joy, and urgency. Every year, we have a focus/motto that we rely on to keep us grounded. This year, our focus/motto is “Unleash Your Inner Hero: Embrace The Power Within.” Families, Westpark believes that all students were born with heroic powers to accomplish any task or goal that is set before them. We want our students to believe in their powers because when they believe in themselves, then they can achieve!
Returning Wildcat families, we welcome you to another year at Westpark, the happiest place to learn and grow! To my new Wildcat Families, thank you for choosing and trusting Westpark Elementary with your most precious assets. We look forward to serving your children. This year, Westpark has renewed our commitment to excellence in all that we do as we provide high quality instruction with the expectation that all students can learn and succeed. In addition, we are committed to providing a safe environment where all students know and feel l they belong in a school where there is love, support, and purpose. Westpark Families, get ready for a Heroically Powerful school year!
Mrs. Lynda Wright is excited work with Mrs. Mason to continue the wonderful Westpark tradition of excellence. Mrs. Wright wants to create a learning environment where children feel safe to take risks, ask questions, and explore their environment. She feels privileged to partner with parents to help students become confident, inquisitive, and independent learners.
Mrs. Wright brings twenty years of instructional experience in grades prekindergarten through eighth grade. She came to Westpark from Aledo ISD where she taught for 15 years. Prior to that she taught in North Carolina and Grapevine-Colleyville. She is a proud graduate of Texas Christian University and later received her Masters in Education Administration from Lamar University. She and her husband, Kevin, have been married for 27 years. They have two incredible children; Drew and Meredith. Drew works as an ICU nurse in Eugene, Oregon, and Meredith begins her Masters in Speech Language Pathology at Texas Tech this year. Outside of school, Mrs. Wright enjoys spending time with family and friends, reading, watching TCU football, traveling, and snuggling with her two Brittany Spaniels, Daisy and Addi.
